SCRIPTURES
We believe that the Bible was written by holy men of old as they were
moved by the Holy Spirit; that the Bible is supernaturally inspired
(God breathed); that it is a collection of sixty-six books, from
Genesis to Revelation; that it is truth without any error in its
content; and therefore is, and shall remain, the only complete and
final revelation of the will of God which all human conduct creeds and
opinions should be tried. Further, we believe that God inspired the
original autographs verbally; that he preserved these writings down
through the ages and that the KING JAMES VERSION is the preserved,
infallible Word of God for the English speaking people.
GODHEAD
We believe that there is one living and true God, eternally existing in
three persons, all equal in divine personality and nature; set forth in
Scripture as: Father, Son, and Holy Ghost; that within these three
persons is found the expression of the triune God of the universe, who
is infinite, and inexpressibly glorious in holiness and worthy of all
possible honor, worship, confidence and love by his creatures.
VIRGIN BIRTH
We believe that Jesus Christ is God's only begotten Son; that he was
conceived in the womb of Mary, a virgin, by direct supernatural action
of God; making Him true God and true man.
THE DEVIL
We believe that he is a real person, a spirit-being who was once holy
and lived in the presence of God but through pride and ambition to be
as the Almighty, he fell and drew after him a host of angels; that he
is the enemy of God, and therefore the avowed enemy of all truly
born-again Christians, he is the accuser of the saints, the author of
all false religions, and would have all worship him. We hold however,
that he is destined to final defeat and the judgment of God in the
eternal lake of fire, a place prepared for him and his angels.

-
CREATION
We believe in the Genesis account of Creation and that it is to be
accepted literally and not allegorically or figuratively. We believe
that man was created by the direct act of God, making him in God's own
image and likeness; that this creation along with the creation of all
animal and vegetable life was not due to evolution, or an evolutionary
change of species, or development through the interminable periods of
time from lower to higher forms.
THE FALL
We believe that Adam was created in innocence and perfection, that he
was placed in the garden to care for it, but by voluntary
transgression, fell from his sinless and happy state, in consequence of
which all mankind are now sinners, not by constraint, but rather by
choice, and therefore all men are under just condemnation and without
excuse. We believe God permitted the fall for the purpose of glorifying Himself in and through His only begotton Son, the Lord Jesus Christ, and His work of redemption.
HELL
We believe in a literal, burning hell that God prepared for the Devil
and his angels; that it is a place of present, everlasting, conscious
suffering and punishment of the unbelieving dead. Moreover, we hold
that it is the final abode of all living and dead who have not received
the Lord Jesus Christ as Savior.
REPENTANCE & FAITH
We believe that repentance and faith are solemn obligations, and also
inseparable graces, wrought in our souls by the quickening Spirit of
God; thereby, being deeply convicted of our guilt, danger and
helplessness, and of the way of salvation by Christ, we turn to God
with unfeigned contrition, confession and supplication for mercy; at
the same time heartily receiving the Lord Jesus Christ and openly
confessing Him as our only and all-sufficient Savior.
- Part 3
-
SALVATION
We believe that the blessings of salvation are made free by the grace
of God; that it is the free gift of God, not merited or earned by any
works of the flesh or human self righteousness, and is given to all
those whom God chose before the foundation of the world as the result of God bringing a lost sinner to repentance and faith.
JUSTIFICATION
We believe that the great gospel blessing which Christ secures to such
as believe in Him is Justification; the Justification includes the
pardon of sin and the gift of eternal life. We believe that it is
bestowed into us solely through faith in the Redeemer's blood and not
in consideration of any works of righteousness which we have done.
HEAVEN
We believe in a literal place called Heaven, where God's presence is
manifested, where Jesus sits at his right hand and angels reside. We
believe that it is a place where the Christian goes immediately upon
death and where all the saved shall ultimately be.
THE CHURCH
We believe that a true Baptist Church is a congregation of baptized
believers associated by a covenant of faith and fellowship of the
Gospel, being organized under the authority of another true Baptist
Church of like faith, observing the ordinances of Christ governed by
His laws, exercising the gifts, rights, and privileges invested in them
by His Word. We believe that its officers of ordination are pastors or
elders and deacons whose qualifications, claims, and duties are clearly
defined in the Scriptures. As a New Testament Baptist Church, we exist to Inspire people to develop a heart for God (Psalm 34); to Include people in a loving church family (Acts 2:34); to Instruct people with sound Bible teaching (2 Timohty 2:2); to Involve people in Biblical ministry (1 Peter 4:10); and to Impact people with the Gospel of Jesus Christ (Matthew 28:18-20). We believe that each true Baptist church has the
absolute right of self government, free from the interference of any
hierarchy of individuals or organizations; and that the one and only
Head of true churches is Christ Jesus.
- Part 4
-
ORDINANCES
We believe that Baptism and the Lord's Supper are ordinances left by
the Lord to His church. Scriptural baptism is the immersion in water of
a believer by a true Baptist church; in the name of the Father, the
Son, and the Holy Ghost, to show forth in a solemn symbol our faith in
the crucified, buried and risen Savior, with its effect in our death to
sin and resurrection to a new life. We believe that it is a
prerequisite to the privilege of the Lord's Supper, which is restricted
to a church's members; and that the elements are unleavened bread and
wine.
SECURITY OF BELIEVER
We believe that all who have been truly born-again by the Spirit of God
will persevere; they are not only eternally saved, but eternally safe,
kept by his power and can never be lost again.
RESURRECTION & RETURN OF CHRIST
We believe that Christ rose bodily "the third day according to the
Scriptures;" We hold to the pre-tribulation rapture, when the dead in
Christ shall rise first, and the living saints shall all be changed in
a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trump; followed by a
literal 7 years, when those on the earth will go through the
tribulation period. We also hold to the pre-millennial return of
Christ; that "this same Jesus which is taken up from you into Heaven
shall so come in like manner as ye have seen him go into Heaven";
meaning that, after the 7 year tribulation, Christ shall return bodily,
personally and visibly to bind Satan and reign a thousand years in
righteousness. Then, after letting Satan loose, Christ will once and
for all defeat the Devil, casting him into the lake of fire along with
the lost dead who will be sentanced at the Great White Throne.
CIVIL GOVERNMENT
We believe that civil government is of divine appointment, for the
interests and good order of human society; that magistrates are to be
prayed for, conscientiously honored and obeyed; except only in the
things opposed to the written will of our Lord Jesus Christ.
SEPARATION
We believe that everyone who is saved is called to a life of holiness
in inward and outward separation from all worldly and sinful practices
and alliances; we stand opposed to neo-orthodoxy, neo-evangelicalism,
the modern tongues movement, and the Ecumenical movement.

MORAL ISSUES
Believing that the rise of a humanistic and \ or postmodern thought process within public domain has shattered once well defined and commonly accepted moral norms, the following statements give expression to the biblical position held by this assembly.
The Family God has ordained the family as the foundational institution of human society. (Gen. 2:18,21-25) It is composed of persons related to one another by marriage, blood or adoption.
Marriage is the uniting of one man and one woman in covenant commitment for a lifetime. (Exo. 20:12; ; Mal. 2:14-16; Matt. 5:31-32; 19:3-9) It is God's unique gift to reveal the union between Christ and His church, (Eph. 5:21-33) and to provide for the man and the woman in marriage the framework for intimate companionship, the channel for sexual expression according to biblical standards, and the means for procreation of the human race. (Heb. 13:4; Gen. 1:28)
The husband and wife are of equal worth before God, since both are created in God's image. (Gen. 1:27) The marriage relationship models the way God relates to His people. A husband is to love his wife as Christ loved the church. He has the God-given responsibility to provide for, to protect, and to lead his family.( Eph. 5:25-27 A wife is to submit herself graciously to the servant leadership of her husband even as the church willingly submits to the headship of Christ. (Eph. 5:24; 1Pet. 3:3-7)She, being in the image of God as is her husband and thus equal to him, has the God-given responsibility to respect her husband (Eph 5:33) and to serve as his helper in managing the
household and nurturing the next generation. (Prov. 31:10-31;1 Tim. 5:14; Titus 2:3-5)
Children, from the moment of conception, are a blessing and heritage from the Lord. (Psa.127:3; 139:13-16) Parents are to demonstrate to their children God's pattern for marriage. Parents are to teach their children spiritual and moral values and to lead them, through consistent lifestyle example and loving discipline (including corporal punishment), to make choices based on biblical truth. Children are to honor and obey their parents.
(Deut. 6:4-9; Josh. 24:15; Prov. 1:8; 22:15; Eph. 6:1-4)

MORAL ISSUES (continued)
Sexual Relationships
We believe the Bible specifically places man and woman in a biblical, God-commanded, relationship and that God instituted the marriage relationship between man and woman (Gen. 2:23,24; Eph. 5:22-23) and the creation of the biblical family. We therefore hold that it is totally against the command and teaching of the Word of God to, in any way, change or distort this order. Thus, we must biblically conclude that homosexuality, lesbianism, co-habitation outside marriage, pedophilia and any other sexual relationship apart from one man and one woman in a marital union is incompatible with the Word of God and must be rejected as alternate life styles. (Rom. 1:18-32)

MORAL ISSUES (continued)
Sanctify of Life
Abortion
We believe that the Scripture teaches that all human life begins at conception (Jer. 1:5; Psa .51:5; Luke 1:39-44) and that God is fashioning that life throughout the period of pregnancy (Psa. 139). The Bible places dignity upon the human life because man is created in the image of God (Gen. 1:26). This dignity is nowhere in Scripture mitigated by any of the frailties that might attend life, regardless of how severe. Therefore, we conclude that abortion is a violation of the sanctity of life
and the standard of God.
Euthanasia
Euthanasia is any intentional, direct act causing someone's death under the guise of mercy. Despite the euphemisms used to describe assisted suicide, it still involves killing. The patient does not die from his or her underlying medical condition, but at the hands of those who have the power
and knowledge to do so, typically physicians. This, we affirm, is a direct violation of the sixth commandment. (Exo. 20:13)
Further, the Scriptures give God and He alone the right to give and take life. (1 Sam. 2:6; Job 14:5) or to set the standards for the taking of life. (Gen. 9:6). Therefore, euthanasia must be considered inconsistent with God’s revealed truth and therefore rejected regardless of how noble the motive
involved.
However, we would affirm a fundamental difference between euthanasia and making a medical decision to not receive certain medical help that might prolong a terminal situation. That decision, we believe, lies between God, the individual and /or the family.
